The Call & Post is a newspaper with multiple editions owned by King Media Enterprises, Inc.  Four unique editions of the Call & Post – featuring local news in Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland with CP2 (Call & Post 2nd Edition) which is a Entertainment Lifestyle Tabloid distributed in Northeast Ohio all are published each week.

Founded by Garrett Morgan and a group of pioneering Black businessmen, the newspaper has published every week since 1916 and in 1929 merged with the Cleveland Post.  It is the only African-American owned, general circulation newspaper in Cleveland that conforms to the Ohio Revised Code’s definition of a newspaper of general circulation.

The Call & Post has a distinctive and loyal paid readership earned through years of hard work, fighting the battle for justice and equality that individuals could neither fight nor win fighting alone.  The Call & Post became a trusted friend while reporting the triumphs and tragedies of generations of Black people in Ohio and the nation.  It offers a unique perspective – respected by people of all races – serving as a catalyst for change in Ohio

The Call & Post readership is literate and influential.  These subscribers are leaders of the Black community.  These readers not only lead public opinion, they also have the kind of buying power and influence that make them valuable and well-informed consumers.

We believe in equal opportunity.  Our staff is reflective of our commitment to offer opportunity to all that share our passion for truth and justice.  Our employees work in a comfortable and nurturing environment.  They are trusted to make the proper decisions about their work.  Through the efforts of our employees, this newspaper’s reputation as a vehicle for both institutional and merchandising advertisements is unsurpassed.

Although the Call & Post Newspaper lives out its creed through its workforce and in its pages, it is very important to demonstrate that perseverance and hard work helps minorities and women to progress.  It is important to show progress is made possible by fair-minded people of all creeds and colors who have a commitment to equal opportunity.

Historically, the Black History Month (February), Salute to Educational Excellence (May) and Equal Opportunity Day (November) editions are the largest circulated of our weekly editions.  The statewide pass-along readership of 170,000 is too great an opportunity to ignore.  As a bonus, we are committed to editorially supporting our clientele.
