The Call & Post Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, that was
formed as the non-profit arm, of The Call
& Post Newspaper, to provide direct
assistant to projects which facilitate the
newspaper’s mission or advance the
intellectual, health, spiritual and emotional
needs of the communities we serve.
The mission of the Call & Post
Foundation includes:
- The
funding of scholarships to historically
Black Colleges and Universities including
Central State, Alabama State, Shaw, Howard
and Wilberforce universities.
- Supporting
institutions whose programs promote
educational and intellectual achievement
in a manner consistent with our mission.
- The
promotion of equal opportunity in
business, government and industry through
publication and the establishment of EEO
Seminars and consulting practice.
- The
advocate and development of fair
employment practices through publication
and by producing job fairs and offering
job preparatory help.
- Encouraging
and increasing participation in emerging
technologies by establishing and funding
technical seminars and training programs.
- Promoting
early childhood education.
- The
promotion of healthy living and preventive
medicine health care practices through
education featuring publications, health
clinics, seminars and fairs.
- Assisting
in archiving and maintenance of cultural
artifacts and historical documents of
African Americans by providing aid to
groups and individuals for specific
purposes and by publishing specific
history-related training materials and
teaching aids.
- To
encourage athletic competition by
recognizing athletic excellence by
publication and through conducting honors
ceremonies.
- Promoting
the involvement of the African American
community in non-traditional sporting
activities.
- Promoting
the general welfare of the community.
All
donations made to the Foundation are
tax-deductible, as allowable by law.
Donations received to support these
causes, or applications for financial aid to
support activities that advance the mission,
may be made in writing to The Call & Post
Foundation c/o The Call & Post Newspaper.
